Big OUIE!

So I fill like the worst mother in the world!!
Last week while I was trying to pay bills Addy wanted to be up on the counter with me. ( Her new thing she has learned is to pull chairs around the house to get up where she wants to be.)I let her stand on the chair by me and play with the stuff in the drawer, thinking that there was not anything to dangerous in it. While I was writing and talking to Kevyn on the phone she started screaming!! I looked over and saw blood going everywhere. I pretty much threw my phone and started freaking out. I still wasn't quite sure what happened. Any way long story short, she got her finger stuck up in one of the food slicers. I have no idea how she even got the slicer out! Her finger could only be one way for me to get it out so as I was pulling her finger out the blade was slicing off her fingernail. It was awful!!!! It didn't take it all the way off, it was still attached in one spot. We both cried the rest of the day! She wouldn't let me put a bandaid on it, but once we got Elmo bandaids she was ok. Most of the fingernail has come off now. I think it was more dramatic for me than it was for her! I just felt terrible!!

Just a random picture

I had to post this, I just think it is so cute! Her toy box in now her favorite place to play and read her books.

Just look at Cameron and you will not feel bad. I just posted a nice pic of his fat lip. It is very sad when they get hurt!
Cute pic of her in the toy box.

It is the worst thing ever to see your kid hurt! I really don't handle it very well! It sounds like a tramatic day ( for you!)

Ouch! I completely understand, it is so awful when they get hurt. It makes me cry too. You are a good Mom. Things just happen sometimes. She sure is darling. I love the toy box pic.

I can top that... last week Joshy cut his finger with two butcher knives (trying to open a box of nerds.) It was deep enoughthat he had to get stitches. He now thinks that it is a "cool, super cut" and brags ablout it to everyone!

You aren't a bad mother.. there are going to be much more accidents in the future with little ones - that's how they learn. But it is always so hard on you.. you're a great mom!! And I am glad that Elmo saved the day!!

I'm so sorry! Its the worst feeling in the world to see your baby hurt. I hate it! At least Elmo fixed it. Brycen is in the kiss stage. If he gets hurt he asks for a kiss then says, All better and he's fine, most of the time.

So your moving? Where are you looking to move? In the same area or closer to here? :)

You have so many people on your blog that I haven't talked to forever. Why are they all private? Darn it. How can I get them to invite me. I would love to catch up with them. If they read this, email me jj22loos@yahoo.com

Oh my gosh! That is so sad! I hate when my kids get hurt (and it happens more than I want to admit). Thank goodness for Elmo! Ps. It was good to talk to you the other day!
